The Secret Blessing: Part 19

This sample is the nineteenth part of our new book for children concerning the Dala’il Khayrat. PART 19:

Oh Allah, bless our master Muhammad…the remembrance of who perfumes and sweetens all the world.

Yusuf pulled on the book.  “What is that?” Yusuf pointed to the painting in the book.

Grandfather stood up and went into his study.  He returned with a small metal object and placed a piece of charcoal inside, lit a match and held it to the charcoal and then closed the metal filigree top over it.  Smoke curled out from around it.

“This is an incense burner.  The black rock is called bokhor.  This is a kind of perfume for the home,” Grandfather explained.

“Mama uses this to make the jinn go away,” said Sulayman.

“Bad jinn,” Yusuf pointed to the smoke.
