Silsila: 21. Muhammad az-Zahid (q)

Tonight we reviewed the story of the twenty-first figure on the Silsila: Muhammad az-Zahid (q).

We learned that Muhammad (q) visited his shaykh Ubaydallah (q) and had insisted of leaving to study.

His journey was very difficult and he had many problems with his donkey; first the donkey was slow and one day the donkey disappeared.  My son asked if he could have a donkey to carry his toys.  I said sure, if he didn’t mind if the donkey disappeared.

After many difficulties Muhammad (q) returned to his shaykh and did not leave him again.
