This surah speaks about some of the miracles of Allah (s) including the tree that was in flames yet did not burn. When we light wood on fire it will burn but Allah (s) can do something we cannot. If you would like to learn more about the nature of this tree of flames there is a chapter concerning it in The Life of Moses book in chapter 17. The Fire that did not Burn.
Discussion question: what does this miracle show us about the power of Allah (s)? What did Musa (a) think of the tree with flames?
The surah reiterates that the created world around us is also a miracle and that none other that Allah (s) can create the world.
Discussion question: why do you think that Allah (s) created the world? Can you think of any other miracles of Allah (s)?
Image: this painting is supposed to represent the acacia tree in flames that do not burn from the story of Musa (a).
