Tonight we reviewed the part of Musa’s (a) story where he accidentally killed an Egyptian who was abusing a man from among the believers.
We learned that Musa (a) regretted this accident and fled Egypt into the desert when he was exposed as the man responsible for the Egyptian’s death.
My son said that if he had killed someone by accident he would want to take it back as well. Given how many accidents we all have in any given day the list of things we would like to take back is long but perhaps even longer when you are 6 years old. This story gave us a chance to speak about our actions, their consequences, and the regret we feel when we have done something that is harmful.
