Sira:  The Snake

Tonight we reviewed the story of the Hijrah for our project.

The children learned about the escape of the Prophet(s) and Abu Bakr(r) from Mecca.

The children were particularly interested in the animals of the story:  the spider, the dove and the snake.

Our episode tonight was illustrated with the snake that bit Abu Bakr(r).  The children wanted to know why and we explained that the snake had waited over 400 years to see the Prophet(s).

Please send us your ideas for teaching the Sira of the Prophet(s) to children.
