Silsila: 4. Qasim (r)

Last night we reviewed the story of Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr (r) who is the fourth figure on the Silsila.

We learned about how Qasim grew up with his auntie Aisha (r) and learned from her along with all the other Muslims who wanted to study the Quran and the Sunnah after the death of the Prophet (s).     It is very nice as a mother to read to my sons about the importance of women in preserving and teaching in early Islam and I hope this will make a lasting impression.

We also learned about the last Hajj of Qasim (r) and how the Kabba cried for him.
