63. Illuminated Quran: The Hypocrites

This surah speaks about the hypocrites that did not want to help or give to the Muslim refugees in Madina.  The surah says that all treasures belong to Allah (s) but the hypocrites do not understand.  The surah asks us to be open handed and spend from what we have to help those in need.

Discussion question:  is sadaqa important in Islam?  Do you give from what you have to people who need your help?

Image:  these figures are lifted from Persian miniatures and in this context I am suggesting that one figure is handing a coin to a destitute person in need of assistance.

Please share your ideas for teaching children about the Tafseer of Quran.
