Today we made a Moroccan dish named Bastilla.
First the children cleaned and sorted the cilantro. Then they used a mandolin to cut it small.
The children marinaded the chicken with herbs and spices.
After the chicken was cooked and shredded the children toasted and ground the almonds.
Then they put layers of almond and chicken in filo dough and closed the pastery with butter.
Then they baked theEdit Bastilla in the oven.
The children enjoyed making this traditional Moroccan dish that they have eaten so many times before making it today.
