Tonight we reviewed the story of Fatima (r) and Ali (r) in the story of the Prophet (s). We learned about marriages of the daughters of the Prophet (s) and the wedding of Fatima (r) specifically.
My son was particularly interested in the point about Fatima’s (r) dowry. We learned that Fatima (r) asked Allah (s) for the forgiveness of the Ummah and it was granted to her. We learned how this was added to her marriage contract and sealed in glass.
My son said that this is important because life takes a long time and he makes many mistakes. I think we will have to agree with him.
We also learned about how the second part of her name Zahra means flower or blossom.
