Musa: The Name

Tonight we learned about the name of Prophet Musa (a).  There are different versions of the name depending on who tells his story.  There are different possibilities for where these names came from and and what they mean.

My son wanted to know what the name looked like in Egyptian Hieroglyphics and I told him we aren’t sure what that would be but that he was in luck because I did try to make the name Musa (a) in hieroglyphics for tonight’s episode just for fun.

This cartouche is in no way intended to be accurate but it amused my son and then frustrated him because he couldn’t read it.  I think we need to learn more about hieroglyphics.

Please share your ideas for teaching children about the lives of the Prophets.
