This surah speaks about Prophet Musa (a) and Prophet Adam (a). If you would like to read their stories to your children there are chapters concerning them in My Little Lore of Light by Hajjah Amina Adil.
This surah recounts the story of Musa (a) including the burning bush, the baby Musa’s (a) return to his mother, the magicians who become believers, the Exodus from Egypt, the escape through the Red Sea, the mana and quails from heaven, and the golden calf.
Discussion question: can you think of any similarities between Prophet Musa (a) and Prophet Muhammad (s)?
In this surah we learn about the Fall of Prophet Adam (a) after he and Eve listen to Iblis who promises eternal life if they eat from the tree of eternity but they are given knowledge of their nakedness instead.
Discussion question: what would happen if people never passed away? Is it true that every soul tastes of death? Which prophet is still living?
