This is the first of our series on the food of the Muslim world. Our goal is to involve children in the experience of cooking the traditional dishes they would taste at Muslim gatherings and holidays. We hope that this will enrich their connection to Muslim cultures and flavours. This dish is called muhamar, a poultry dish with onions and fried almonds.
