Lesson for Al Rafi: The Exalter
The name Rafi means to rise through spiritual stations which is possible when you are not attached to labels like high and low. For this medallion we have chosen the Isra journey of the Prophet Muhammad (s) on the Buraq to suggest the elevation of the Prophet (s). Exalt can mean to make noble in character.
If you would like to read more avout the Isra journey of the Prophet (s) from Mecca to Medina please see The Light of Muhammad by Hajjah Amina Adil.
Suggested discussion questions:
What does exalt mean?
What is the Isra wal Miraj?
How is spiritual rank raised?
What is nobility?
How can we have noble character?
We suggest you choose a space that can accommodate all the 99 Names or to fix the names to a fold out accordion book in sequence if you do not have an appropriate space available.
Please share your ideas for teaching the meaning of the 99 Names: A Visual Tasbih to children.
