Silsila: The Map

This project is designed to review the stories of the Naqshbandi Silsila with children.  The text we will use with the children is called Links of Light: the Golden Chain: a child’s version of the Naqshbandi Sufi Way.  In order to prepare the map I needed to use The Naqshbandi Sufi Way and Classical Islam and the Naqshbandi Sufi Way as references.

First I prepared the medallions based on each of the 40 stories:

Then I placed each medallion on the map with a lead to the approximate locations of each maqam:

When we begin the project each medallion will be added near to the city to which it belongs.

We have now completed this project and all the medallions can be found with their coresponding posts under Silsila on our main menu.  The first post for this project is for the Prophet Muhammad (s): Silsila: 1. Prophet (s).

Please share your ideas for teaching children about the Prophet (s) and the Awliah.
