Tonight we reviewed the story of the twenty-second figure on the Silsila: Darwish Muhammad (q).
We learned how Muhammad (q) spent 7 years on a mountain waiting for his shaykh to come and meet him. He had many animals with him as companions.
I asked my son if he would have spent 7 years on a mountain with animals and he said no because the animals would eat him. Then he asked me why Muhammad (q) wasn’t scared, and why the animals did not eat him. I said that the animals were nice to Muhammad (q) and he was not scared because he was with Allah (s) and his shaykh during his seclusion there.
