This is the thirty fourth sample of The Tree of Light: The Lives of the Prophets for Young Muslims available now on Amazon. This is the first volume of a three volume series with maps, pictures and paintings of important sites and Maqams related to the stories of the Prophets. This series would be an ideal source for the Tree of Prophets project featured here on our website. In this adaptation of Hajiah Amina Adil’s comprehensive history of the Prophets a sage grandfather tells the stories of the Prophets to his two adventurous grandsons who learn that the stories of the Prophets have come to life.
The unbelievers turned red and yellow and then black just as Salih (a) said and on the fourth day some say an earthquake destroyed them, and some say a rain of fire, but Allah (s) knows best. For seven days, the believers heard the screams and destruction and when it had finished Salih (a) led the believers out of that place.
This is thought to be the place on the Arabian
Peninsula that Salih (a) brought the believers
after they left the Valley of Hijr.
The boys had fallen asleep near the dying fire and Grandfather covered them over with some warm woolen blankets. The she camel and her foal were sleeping as well and Grandfather spoke to the old Bedouin man looking after them in whispers. They rose and the old Bedouin led Grandfather away.
