Hood (a) became overseer of the slaves and cared for them and taught them about Allah (s).

Hood (a) with the people of Ad.

The people of Ad ordered Hood (a) to beat one of the slaves, but it gave that slave no pain and no marks appeared on his back, and with this miracle he invited the people of Ad to become believers and he told them about the gardens of paradise.

“Are the gardens of paradise like this garden?” asked Sulayman.

Grandfather smiled.  “They are similar.  There are rivers, fountains, trees and flowers, but the gardens of paradise are endless.  This garden only goes about 5 minutes’ walk that way.”

“Too far, too far!” Yusuf chirped.  Yusuf was tired from the walk and refused to go any farther.
