Lesson for Al Qawiy: 52 The Strong
The name Qawiy can mean the strength not to use the power bursting within us – like a chick bursting through an eggshell. The eggshell also has a strength from outside to hold the weight of the mother hen and the strength comes from the shape of the shell. This strength is divine strength and we need this kind to strenth to combat the ego, a strength that stays within certain internal and external limits.
Suggested discussion questions:
What is strength?
What is divine strength?
Why do we need strength to curb the ego?
Have you even watched a bird born from its shell?
We suggest you choose a space that can accommodate all the 99 Names or to fix the names to a fold out accordion book in sequence if you do not have an appropriate space available.
Please share your ideas for teaching children about the 99 Names of Allah (s).
