Assist the students with ideas for the artwork for this name or ask them to make their own interpretation of the medallion provided here:
Lesson for Al Haqq: The Truth
The name Haqq means the truth itself and the root of this word means to journey into the heart. For this medallion we chose to depict the light from the bush that did not burn when Musa (a) sought fire for his family in the desert to symbolize the journey into the heart. Musa (a) was able to commune with the divine in the desert just as the divine can be found in the human heart.
Suggested discussion questions:
What is truth?
Where can Allah (s) be contained?
How can we journey into the heart?
We suggest you choose a space that can accommodate all the 99 Names or to fix the names to a fold out accordion book in sequence if you do not have an appropriate space available.
Please share your ideas for teaching children about the 99 Names of Allah (s).
